This Easter, we invite you to join the researchers of ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig in a special Easter hackathon. The goal is to not only hunt for Easter eggs but also search for aliens. You will have the opportunity to work with the HPC machine Alpha Centauri, equipped with NVIDIA A100 GPUs, and learn how to develop your own AI pipeline for UFO identification. The event will provide you with the fundamentals of HPC, and you can use this knowledge to develop your own AI pipeline. The dataset comprises around 50,000 labelled images of objects in the sky that are often mistaken for unidentified flying objects. To create the pipeline, you must consider data loading, pre-processing, model training, inference, and post-processing. This event caters to both beginners seeking foundational knowledge and advanced users looking for in-depth insights and advanced techniques. Additionally, you have the opportunity to visit our Living Lab in Dresden, where you can explore the potential of HPC and AI. The Living Lab offers a variety of tutorials and workshops to learn about AI, as well as the hardware and software used in this hackathon. Furthermore, you have the opportunity to converse with other participants and share your ideas and expertise.
This hackathon is not only about competition but also about cooperation. You can either bring your friends along or work with the other participants instead. That’s why you will be working in teams. Everyone is welcome at the hackathon and no pre-knowledge is required. Registration is mandatory.
Besides the glory that is associated with it, the winning team will get honored in the ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig Hackathon Hall of Fame. Of course, all participants will also receive a certificate of attendance. Please note, that attendance on both days is required to receive a certificate of attendance.
