For what purposes will personal data be processed?

The scope of the data processing described below refers to the registration for events of ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig. When a user registers for events, the personal data entered in the input form will be transmitted to us and stored for the preparation, execution, and follow-up of the event.

On what legal basis is the processing of personal data carried out?

The legal basis for data processing for the purpose of participation is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (Consent).

What personal data is processed?

The following personal data will be processed for the purpose of participating in events of ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig:

  • Title
  • Name
  • Email address
  • Organization
  • Billing address
  • Special needs

How are personal data processed, and how long are they stored?

The processing of personal data is always in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the applicable data protection regulations of TU Dresden. The data provided will be used exclusively for the preparation, execution, and follow-up (e.g., invoices or sending materials) of the event and will be deleted after the event ends, but no later than 6 months afterwards.

Are personal data transferred to third parties?

Unless otherwise stipulated by law or explicitly consented to by you in individual cases, no personal data will be transferred to third parties.

Is there any publication of personal data?

Your personal data will not be published.

What rights do data subjects have in general?

  • Voluntariness and Withdrawal (Article 7(3) GDPR)

Providing personal data for the purpose of information distribution or submission of contributions is voluntary. This consent can be refused or withdrawn at any time without formal requirements and without giving reasons by contacting the responsible person. Your personal data will then no longer be processed. The legality of processing based on consent until withdrawal remains unaffected.

  • Right of Access (Article 15 GDPR)

You have the right to request information at any time about the data processed concerning you and the possible recipients of this data. You are entitled to a response within one month of receipt of the request.

  • Right to Rectification, Erasure, and Restriction (Articles 16-18 GDPR)

You can request at any time that TU Dresden rectify or delete your personal data or restrict its processing.

  • Right to Data Portability (Article 20 GDPR)

You can request that the responsible party transmit your personal data to you in a machine-readable format. Alternatively, you can request the direct transfer of the personal data you have provided to another responsible party, where technically feasible.

  • Right to Lodge a Complaint (Article 77 GDPR)

You can contact the Data Protection Officer of TU Dresden (see above) at any time and lodge a complaint with any supervisory authority for data protection. The competent supervisory authority for TU Dresden is:
