A 3-day training school on Python, data science and AI for the medical sector, conducted as part of the Come2Data project in collaboration with ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig. The target group are students and scientists from the medical field with an interest in learning Data Science and AI using Python. 10:00 AM → 12:30 PM Python: Basics and Tools - Part 1

In this session, we will cover basics of the Python progamming language and according tools. This comprises:
- the use of Conda to manage Python environments and dependencies,
- the use of Jupyter notebooks as a tool for the interactive execution and documentation of Python code,
- basic terms and data types as well as more complex data structures and their handling,
- conditions and loops for controlling Python programs,
- the use of Python to navigate through folders and files and process files in a folder
