Description

Imagine data not as cold facts, but as something alive and personal, woven into your life.

What if the data defining you isn’t telling your true story?

What if it’s silencing the voices that matter most?

This September CitizenScience.AI in ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig is inviting to a special workshop of hybrid format in its Event Series PILLARS & UMBRELLAS. Here we collaborate with Ren Loren Britton & Iz Paehr from MELT, a team of two innovative persons from Berlin which engages a value-based practice that centers on Disability Justice, Trans*feminisms, anti-racist and critical technical practices. MELT questions how and with what intentions the experiences of marginalized groups are quantified, compiled and counted as data. In this workshop they initiate the experience of new and personal insights on this matter and empower people on their way to experience reclaiming data to recount different - or other – stories.

Date & Time: Friday, 27.09.2024, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Venue: Dachsaal riesa efau, Adlergasse 14, 01067 Dresden or join us online (The zoom-link is coming soon)
